Aspire Art Gallery offers a distinctive, art-filled setting for hosted private events in the heart of Norfolk. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration, a small wedding, or a professional gathering, Aspire provides a welcoming atmosphere surrounded by curated exhibitions and creative energy.

Aspire hosts a limited number of events each year, with gallery staff present throughout to help the event run smoothly while also protecting the artwork and the gallery space. All events are thoughtfully planned to reflect the nature of the gallery and the experience you want to create.

A Hosted Experience (Not a Venue Rental)

Events at Aspire are hosted by the gallery, not rented. Aspire staff are present during the event to oversee the space, assist as needed, and ensure that the artwork and gallery environment are respected.

Because Aspire is an active art gallery, hosted events are structured with gallery guidelines in mind. This approach helps create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests while keeping the artwork protected and the space well managed.

Specific inclusions vary based on event needs, staffing requirements, and duration.

Planning Details

To help us plan your hosted event, we’ll ask about:

• Event date and start/end time
• Estimated guest count (typically 35–40 guests)
• Setup needs and requested entry time
• Vendors (catering, music, photography, etc.)
• Any special requests such as presentations, speeches, or décor

All setup times are subject to gallery approval and staff availability.

Fees

Hosted event fees vary based on event duration, staffing needs, guest count, and the type of gathering. A deposit is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due prior to the event.

If you’re working within a specific budget, let us know—Aspire will do its best to recommend options that fit while maintaining the integrity of the gallery and the hosted experience.

Gallery Guidelines

To maintain a safe, respectful environment for guests, staff, and artwork:

• No smoking inside the gallery
• No illegal activities
• Décor or installations may not be attached to walls, floors, or fixtures without prior approval
• Noise levels must comply with building and city regulations
• Artwork may not be handled or moved unless approved by Aspire staff
• Beer and wine may be permitted, subject to gallery approval and compliance with all local and state regulations

Cleanup & Breakdown

Aspire will provide general oversight during the event. Event hosts and vendors are responsible for removing all personal items, decorations, and event materials at the end of the event and leaving the space in the same condition it was provided. If additional cleanup is required, an added cleaning fee may apply.
